A Begging Puppy and Website Education

by Tawna on September 8, 2011

This post is about two very different things, but I wanted to let you see both.

First I would like to show you a reproduced children’s painting I just finished that will hang in the office at the elementary school in Afton. (Isn’t that the perfect place for real children’s art:)?)  We call it “The Begging Puppy.”  I chose the colors and background pattern, but it is exactly like my daughter drew it when she was six. She even wrote “Please” at the top like the painting, which makes you smile. Children can capture expression in an instant with their imaginations, and this puppy is definately wanting a doggy treat!

This is one of eight that I will be doing…we’ll have a bunch more to show you next week.

And then, completely changing gears, I would like to tell you about a rare opportunity where you can personally learn about web design. Amanda, my friend and incredible website designer, is offering classes to teach others how to make their websites beautiful themselves. I’ve heard horror stories from others when they have worked with web designers.  I’ve heard that they have “held you hostage” so you had to use their services.

Amanda is just the opposite.  Her specialty is supporting women entreprenuers, and I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful she is. She is so generous with her knowledge and is an incredible support through everything “webby”, and I hope some of you to take this opportunity to take some classes from her.  She may never offer this again, and I think it’s an amazing opportunity.  Called “The Girl’s Guide to Web Design”, it will teach you all you need to know to make your website look professional.

Below is a link where Amanda reveals her secret source for stunning & unique photography and the easy-as-pie method to get a gorgeous header image (otherwise known as a “banner”) for your blog or site – WITHOUT needing to own a copy of Photoshop.  Click to check it out!
