We have a new Miss Universe! Miss Angola Leila Lopes was crowned as Miss Universe for 2011, beating out 88 competitors.

What does “Planking” mean?

“Planking (or the Lying Down Game) is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. Procter & Gamble Philippines, that gives trusted beauty brands like Olay, hosted an event held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati yesterday and introduced their newest brand ambassador, the Queen of All Media, Ms. Kris Aquino.

Having a fair and beautiful skin, aside from showbiz and political background, makes Kris Aquino a real head turner. A lot of people would say that Kris doesn’t need whitening creams anymore because she’s blessed with such skin tone which she inherited from her Chinese grandmother. Even Kris thought that being fair was already enough to have a beautiful skin but when she looked closely in the mirror, she panicked when she saw her first wrinkle. A woman today is no longer confined to chores of the household – her role extends to the work place, even to her social obligations. Fierce and focused in every facet of her life, she undertakes her duties in everything from aprons to power dresses, dashing daily into multiple outfit changes.

Such a woman leads a fast-paced life, facing a lot of stress and pressure day to day. At times, she can feel like she’s running out of energy to cope with all the things she needs to do. Often, she is more vulnerable to sickness because she prioritizes her family’s needs before her own. She can be quite conscious about her figure but setting aside time to exercise poses a challenge. Although she desires to, her daily routine makes it difficult for her to care for her own health and appearance, and, somehow, she notices the signs of aging beginning to show.
