 Explore Amalur Like Never Before
spacer
Embark on an interactive experience on the newly launched site, Amalur.com, home to all things Amalur. The new site is a treasure trove of rich lore and history, including a timeline, tales and culture info from the Age of Arcana (when Reckoning takes place), and stories about points of interest around Amalur during that age. We’ll be adding more to Amalur.com for you to discover and eventually tie together the deeply intertwined histories of Reckoning and the upcoming Amalur MMOG (codenamed Copernicus). Explore the new site, here.

You may have noticed that the official Reckoning site has also gone through an impressive transformation. All of the areas you’ve come to know and love are still there, but we’ve begun to add a little more "Amalurian" style to the site. This is just the first of more exciting additions to come on Reckoning.com. We also released the new Factions and Well of Souls pages last month, the new Destinies page this week, and have pages that will reveal more about Reckoning’s abilities and combat coming later this month. Check back with us often!

Reckoning Sightings at New York Comic-Con
spacer
Reckoning showed up in force at New York Comic-Con this month with two major events and an announcement.

On the evening of October 13th, EA in collaboration with 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, hosted a press event designed to highlight our visionaries Curt Schilling, Ken Rolston, R. A. Salvatore, and Todd McFarlane, and their involvement in Reckoning. The four visionaries shared stories about what influenced their decision to team up with 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, and more specifically, to contribute to Reckoning. They also discussed their individual visions for the game, and how they brought those visions to life.

Our second showing in New York was a Comic-Con panel on October 14th titled Creating a World Worth Saving with R. A. Salvatore. R. A. led the panel discussion, joined by 38 Studios Creative Director Steve Danuser, and two members of the Big Huge Games Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning™ team: Lead Designer Ian Frazier and Narrative Designer Andrew Auseon. Addressing a full house of very excited convention attendees, R. A. spoke about how he created the 10,000 years of history for Amalur and supported the design team to create Reckoning’s rich story within the “Age of Arcana.”

spacer The panelists hinted about ways in which 38 Studios’ upcoming MMOG, (project code-named “Copernicus”) and Reckoning will reference one another. Those who attended the panel were treated to a Q&A with the panelists before the panel concluded. Thank you to everyone who attended! If you weren’t able to attend, you can check out the panel on our official YouTube channel, here.

spacer We also unveiled the Kingdoms of Amalur Prismere Troll figure at New York Comic-Con. This beast is a collaboration between Todd McFarlane, Big Huge Games, and 38 Studios, and was created by McFarlane Toys. We’ll be revealing more about how you can get your hands on a Prismere Troll figure of your own soon, but for now you can check it out here.

Here’s an excerpt from the first chapter:
“You bolt awake in an unfamiliar place, sweating and out of breath from the dream. You were in the tower again. The decay. The filth. And the Tuatha…. Panic. Fire. The gnome giving his life to save yours. So many dead. As you wipe the sleep from your eyes, you swear that you can still smell the moldy decay of Allestar Tower and the smoke of the fires that destroyed it.”
You can read the rest of this, and the following chapters we’ve posted thus far, on our official Facebook page, here.

  • Reckoning Live:
