What is Webcomic Rampage?
Now you don’t have to go to a big convention and pay hard-earned money just to get in the door! You get to come in for free and hang out with some of the top names in webcomics. We’re going to have three separate panels and plenty of opportunities for everyone to meet the creators, purchase signed product or bring stuff to get signed.
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin remains committed to giving independent creators every chance we can to get their work out readers. Webcomic creators are at the forefront of the innovative multimedia trend of the comics industry and many of them consistently produce quality work that has recieved plenty of critical praise. Many webcomic creators are self-employed or have created small business groups that support each other. They have turned webcomics into a viable business model based on the idea that readers buy merchandise and donate money (paying what they feel the comic is worth).
This is your chance to come support your favorite webcomic creators! Not only can you show them how many of their fans want to meet them and by their stuff without paying for shipping, but you can help your local comic book store do the same!
What are Webcomics?
• Webcomics on Wikipedia
Webcomics are comics published primarily on the internet, usually by independent creators.
Scott McCloud, a longtime comics industry pro, has called webcomics the ‘Infinite Canvas’ – meaning anything is possible! Any image, video, sound or multimedia integration is possible. Some webcomics feature characters with their own Facebook and Twitter accounts or have produced music from bands seen in their comics.

Guests
Danielle Corsetto
Girls With Slingshots
Danielle Corsetto created her first comic strip when she was 8 years old, starting with a blatant rip-off of Garfield called Fat Cat.
She started writing Hazelnuts in high school, the precursor to Girls With Slingshots (unbeknownst to her at the time), and ran a comic about super-slacker college kids called Ramblers in the student paper at Shepherd College.
In October of 2004, she began Girls With Slingshots, and a couple of years later she was doing the strip full-time. It’s now updated 5 times a week at some god-awful hour.
Bill Williams
Side Chicks
Bill Williams is a native Texan and long-time comics professional, inking and writing for DC Comics, IDW comics as well as writing and publishing his own work through Lone Star Press.
Joel Watson
Hijinks Ensue
Joel Watson is known for his amazing t-shirts, being friends with Wil Wheaton and drawing webcomics.
Jeph Jacques
Questionable Content
Jeph Jacques is a professional webcomic creator, musician and artist from Southampton, Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife and business manager Cristi (who he met through his webcomic) and their dog, Shelby.
Randy Milholland
Something Positive • Rhymes With Witch • Super Stupor
Randy Milholland is probably napping right now. Sometimes, at night, he dons little shoes with curled toes and a little hat and secretly aids overworked cobblers. Then he uses their stores to launder money. He also grew up in a little patch of suburban sprawl between Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. Under a full moon he sometimes transforms into a meerkat.
David Willis
Shortpacked • Dumbing of Age • Recordicons
David Willis has (reportedly) never held any job other than webcomic artist and is one of the founding members of Blank Label Comics. Known for his passion for transformers and transformers toys, David Willis has been writing webcomics since Roomies! debuted in 1997.
Rob DenBleyker
Cyanide & Happiness
One of the contributors to Cyanide & Happiness, Rob DenBleyker is a founding member of Explosm.
Nicholas Gurewitch
The Perry Bible Fellowship
Nicholas Gurewitch makes The Perry Bible Fellowship. It is often written with help from Evan Keogh, Jordan Morris, and Albert Birney.
Josh Lesnick
Girly
Josh Lesnick is the creator of the (now complete) webcomic Girlyy and of the Adults-Only webcomics site Slipshine.

Events & Schedule
This year’s Webcomics Rampage offers not only the Q&A panels and creator signings we always offer – but a bonus, adults-only After Dark panel.
Events
• Creator Q & A Panels
Sessions I-II: Join Alan M Rogers and Erin Firestine as they chat with our creators on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Since this is a Webcomics Rampage panel, you know the topics will run all over the place – but we’ll hit all the traditional high points (creative processes, origin stories, con horror stories) and then we’ll open it up for audience questions! Please remember – we’ll only let each question get asked once.
Session III: LairCast™ hosts Brian Porter and Rachel Edwards will be hosting this adults-only panel. This will be unrated verbal mayhem – everything the creators couldn’t say and we couldn’t ask will now get said and get asked.
• Creator Signings
The creators will spend several hours on both Saturday and Sunday meeting their fans, drawing sketches, signing prints & books, and selling t-shirts, plushies and other webcomic accessories.
