Learning

Write Technology is available to help you develop effective training for your company, using both traditional instructional design and new collaborative learning tools.

What is Instructional Design?

Instructional Design (ISD) is formally defined as “the systematic development of instructional specifications using learning and instructional theory to ensure the quality of instruction. It is the entire process of analysis of learning needs and goals and the development of a delivery system to meet those needs. It includes development of instructional materials and activities; and tryout and evaluation of all instruction and learner activities.”

Write Technology also advocates follow-up, informal learning through the use of collaborative tools such as blogs, wikis, and podcasts. These Web 2.0 tools help your employees continue discussion and learning, well after the inital session is complete. We can help you set up and harness these tools to best capture the informal learning process.

Write Technology uses a proven ISD process. Write Technology will meet with you, your end users, and your Subject Matter Experts many times throughout the development process. We will conduct a needs analysis, work with you to define your instructional goals and objectives, and develop the program. We will work closely with you and the end users throughout the development process. Upon request, we will continue the ISD process following training delivery, conducting surveys to learn whether or not the training was effective and in what ways it could be improved.

Deliverables include a proposal detailing the results of the needs analysis and definition of your goals and objectives. We can then work with you to define your best method of training delivery, including personalized informal learning, instructor-led training, or eLearning.
