Vintage Jewels
Wednesday, February 8th, 2012
We’re without internet in the new place (which is obviously killing me!) but I thought I’d pop in with a little eye candy care of Madeline Weinrib. So gorgeous right? Some people may be “over” suzanis now that they’ve trickled down to the mass market, but authentic vintage pieces truly are beautiful! Such amazing craftsmanship.

My Weekend in Photos
Monday, February 6th, 2012This weekend was a whirlwind of packing, painting, and moving but we’re finally done! I thought I’d share a few photos of the chaos.
I quickly let my dad and boyfriend know that I’d be in charge of moving all of the “important” stuff so it wasn’t broken. Priorities, people.
They couldn’t seem to understand why I wasn’t tossing these “old magazines”.
My dad spent some quality time with a tape measure, level, and painter’s tape.
Which we all decided was time well spent when this was revealed…
I had a project of my own going on upstairs..
inspired by the tangerine color of my Tory Burch wallet (similar to this).
There’s still a ton to be done but I’m thrilled with what we were able to accomplish in less than a week. A huge thanks to my dad and boyfriend for putting up with me and doing most (okay, all) of the heavy lifting while I gingerly carried my antique mall treasures.
It’s Raining, It’s Pouring
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012
It’s raining and gloomy in DC today, but I’m secretly hoping that there is more rain in the forecast while I eagerly await the arrival of my Scalamandre umbrella scored on One Kings Lane. This had been a longstanding item on my wish list, so I was thrilled to see it pop up on sale. If you’re interested in purchasing your own, there are still travel and large sized versions available in the yellow colorway, and the large size is available in the black colorway. I’d still kill to have a bathroom wallpapered in this iconic pattern, but for now, the umbrella will have to do!

Rainbow Rag Rug | Anna’s Chair | Notebooks | Wedges | Earrings
If your week is in need of brightening, this round up should do the trick. I’m particularly obsessed with Anne Harwell’s rendition of Anna Spiro’s chair. Anna happens to be one of my very favorite interior designers and I die over this chair. What’s even more amazing is that Anne’s print has been turned into a needlepoint kit. If I only had the skill..
Art Lesson: Meg Biram
Monday, January 30th, 2012
Fellow DC lady, Meg Biram, is what you might call a triple threat. In addition to authoring a popular blog and offering digital media consulting, she’s also a talented artist. Envious yet? The glam watercolor above is my latest favorite, but she also has some pretty amazing abstracts. I happen to have a gallery wall in the works in our new apartment and think one of Meg’s pieces would be the perfect addition, don’t you?
