Do you have mild to moderate acne? Did you know that there was an at-home handheld device to clear acne? There is! It is called the CLARO Acne Clearing Device. This product uses a powerful combination of heat and light to treat acne quickly. There are no lotions and no mess. It only takes 6 seconds twice a day!
I received a CLARO system to review. The system includes a CLARO Unit, a Wall Charger Unit and Eye Goggles. I found this system very easy to use. There is a light ring on the front of the unit. It lights up red when it is charging and green when it is ready for use. Then follow these easy steps to use the CLARO.
- Press the CLARO onto your skin on the area to be treated. It will beep twice to tell you it is ready.
- With your goggles on, press and release the control button to start the treatment. It will flash 10 times. This is the first half of the treatment.
- Lift CLARO from your skin. The light should be green. Repeat steps 1 and 2 on the same spot.
How does it work? According to CLARO, “CLARO is the only FDA cleared over-the-counter IPL device that uses both HEAT and LIGHT to clear acne fast. CLARO uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), a powerful combination of heat and light, to treat mild to moderate acne quickly and naturally. The proprietary Energy Delivery System (EDS) in the CLARO delivers a series of light pulses in 6 seconds that safely penetrate the skin to target the cause of acne.”
I found CLARO easy to use and effective. I take medication that will sometimes give me mild acne. I treated the few spots that I had and they were gone by the next day. I was also impressed by the fact that the CLARO is painless. You don’t even feel the treatment. You should test the CLARO on your forearm before use to see if your skin is light sensitive. I did not have any problems with light sensitivity. The CLARO will last you at least 400 treatments. While the system is not cheap, it does work. And it works … in a flash (literally).
