Once upon a time, in a land where trees were virtual and friends were merely names on a computer screen, six women met through circumstances none of them could understand.
.
All of them were happily living their own fairy tales in their own fantasy lands when somehow their paths would intertwine. None of them could fathom how six strangers whose only common denominator was that they were all mothers (and bloggers) would meet in a world so detached.…the worldwide web. Little did they know that it was in this world that they would soon become closer than they could have ever imagined.
.
Soon after discovering each other these six mothers also discovered that they also shared some interests. Fitness, fashion, cooking, money-making, and home making. Among those interests the one that stood out the most was their love for all things edible. They all loved to eat. It seemed but natural that they would convene for this very reason so they could feed (literally and figuratively) their same interest to their hearts’ content. Never mind that they risked expanding their waistlines, the company was just too delicious to resist.
.
One night, during one of their gustatory feasts, an idea was broached. The idea was just too tempting to resist. But just like anything remotely inviting the idea seemed like the proverbial apple and none of them wanted to take a bite…not just yet.
.
And then, as if on cue, these six mothers agreed, one evening, that the apple was just too damn enticing to resist. All of them bit into it and all of them loved it. All of them were immediately consumed with its heady sweetness and from then on there was no more looking back.
.
Thus, the Filipino Mom Blog was born. A product of shared interests and an incomparable love for life. A shared vision among six mothers…six friends….all partners in a journey that will bring Filipino mothers into the world stage.
