When speaking of loyalty in dogs, Hachiko will be remembered as an animal who stood by his owner all his life. Hachiko is a Japanese name which means 'a faithful dog' and he had all the qualities of loyalty in him. Even after his death Hachiko used to come to the station waiting for his master, till he himself expired. Thus, creating an example of ultimate faithfulness.

This dog again has gone into the history books for his unconditional loyalty to his owners. He was a beloved pet of a family, who lived in the state of Oregon. Once they went to a family vacation to Indiana with Bobbie, but the inevitable happened; the dog got lost and even after an exhausting search could not be found. The family disappointingly returned to their native city, but after 6 months, to their utter surprise, Bobbie returned home! Yes, this courageous dog traveled approximately 2800 miles to reach his family.

3. Laika

Although Laika doesn't have a tale like Hachiko and Bobbie to his name. Yet, he has his significance in the history because he has achieved what no animal could achieve. Laika was the first animal to orbit around the earth in a Soviet space shuttle Sputnik 2. Unfortunately, Laika died with in hours after making this feat because of the overheating of the space shuttle.
