Jefferson and Scott plead not guilty to separate charges
Two former LSU players pleaded innocent to separate crimes Thursday. Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor simple battery stemming from an incident outside Shady's Bar on Aug. 19, 2011. Jefferson did not attend the arraignment hearing, but his attorney, Lance Unglesby, entered the plea. Full story

For Facility Services employees David Perault and Jeremy Bernard, "Sportsman's Paradise" isn't just the state motto, it's their job description. Perault and Bernard, who comprise the two-man animal control division of Facility Services, have been using their experience hunting and fishing to capture live animals that have nosed their way into campus buildings. Death row inmate sells art for profit
After Louisiana State Penitentiary inmate Derrick Todd Lee released artwork and a personal letter for sale on a "murderabilia" website, officials at the prison are questioning whether Lee violated penitentiary rules by seeking profit for his work. Lee was linked to the deaths of seven women in Louisiana and convicted of murder on Oct. Full story
