Synchronizing Your Application Lifecycle
Having to choose between purchasing a
requirements management, quality assurance software testing,
issue tracking or project management system? Tired
of having to manually 'glue' together a patchwork of tools and systems from different
vendors?
Fed up with the software testing life cycle not working as it should? Take control
of your project's development and software testing lifecycle with SpiraTeam®
from Inflectra.
Wish Your Testing and Development Teams were in Sync?
Do you find yourself juggling between requirements documents, bug-tracking tools, project plans
and test reports to make sure that your project is on track?
SpiraTeam® is the premier Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system that manages your
requirements, releases, tests, issues and tasks in one integrated environment.
Get Information Right at Your Fingertips!
SpiraTeam® provides integrated dashboards of key project health and
status information.
SpiraTeam® provides reporting dashboards of key project quality
and progress indicators - requirements test coverage, task progress, project velocity, test execution and
top risk and issues β in one consolidated view that is tailor-made for agile methodologies
as well as supporting your legacy/hybrid waterfall projects.
Are Your Sure That All Your Requirements Have Been Tested?
Wouldn't you like to be able to know how many of your requirements have actually
been tested. SpiraTeam® provides full requirements traceability
and test coverage.
With SpiraTeam®, you can drill down from each of your captured requirements
to determine how many test cases have successfully validated the functionality.
Using the integrated bug-tracker you can trace the bugs back to the source
requirements.
Manage Your Manual and Automated Testing in One System
Using Inflectra's RemoteLaunch technology you can manage an entire
global test lab from a central SpiraTeam server, with automated test sets
being executed using a variety of different automation technologies 24/7.
With SpiraTeam's open architecture, you can schedule and track manual testing
in the same environment as your automated tests - with plugs available for the best
of breed test automation tools such as Rapise, QuickTestPro, TestComplete, Squish
and Selenium.
Throw off the Shackles of Outdated Methodologies
As described in the Agile Manifesto,
traditional waterfall software methodologies have failed to delivery
projects on-time and on-budget. In addition, many systems built this way will fail
to provide the expected business value as there is no ability to refine
the requirements as the project progresses.
SpiraTeam is a complete agile management system that synchronizes
your project's requirements, iterations,
tasks and issues in one place.
Embrace Change with Agile Project Management
Software development has been transformed by the new Agile methodologies such as
Scrum,
XP,
DSDM and
AUP.
However the traditional tools of project
management are too cumbersome and not
well suited. SpiraTeam's Agile Planning Board is perfect for team meetings
with color-coding and simpledrag-and-drop editing.
SpiraTeam has been designed specifically to support agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban,
XP, Scrum, DSDM and AUP, allowing teams to manage all
their information in one environment.

How To Use SpiraTeam
For the project manager, it provides the ability to create and manage
the initial high level scope of the project - the features, requirements and user stories.
It also provides a complete set of software test management features so that once
the requirements have been developed, the technical team
can begin to develop a high level release schedule and the associated test plan.
This is where the requirements are mapped to the test cases so that the testing team can
validate the functionality works as expected, and the project manager can ensure there is
complete requirements test coverage.
Once the project is underway, the combined business and technical team work together
to develop the iteration/sprint plan for the releases, break up the features into discrete
stories and tasks and begin assigning the items to the individual iterations. Meanwhile,
the quality assurance team can assign sets of test cases to be executed. Any deviations from expected
behavior can then be recorded as defects and managed in the defect tracking module.
