Potato Cooking Cartoon

February 28th, 2008 by RG in Cooking Cartoons

UPDATE: I’ve picked my favorite caption for this cartoon and it is Ellen Collins’

“Make something easy,” she says, “like potatoes.”

Thank you Ellen for your caption and I will be sending you a copy of Chef David Nelson and my new eCookbook, The Reluctant Gourmet’s Guide To Great Potato Recipes as soon as it comes out.

Let’s Caption Another Cartoon

In two previous cartoons, you came up with some very funny captions so I’m posting this new cartoon to see what you can come up with. Here’s home cook RG at the supermarket looking over a vast display of potatoes looking puzzled.

What is RG thinking?

Go to the bottom of this blog and post your reply in the “Leave a reply”. Add as many captions as you like but keep them clean and be respectful of your fellow visitors. Any caption that I feel is inappropriate will be deleted.

This is not a contest but….

This is not a contest but I would will be including the cartoon in a new ebook I’m currently working on with Chef David Nelson all about cooking potatoes. The most popular caption will receive a free copy of the ebook. It will include lots of recipes but more importantly loads of techniques, cooking tips and chef’s secrets. I’ll let you know more about it as we get closer to launching it.

I will also make the cartoon available on various items like tee shirts and cooking aprons at Café Press. This means all entries become the property of The Reluctant Gourmet™. Please read Small Print below.

Hello, I really like the cartoon of the man scratching his head looking at the potatoes. I am wanting to use it for a diet program I run. I did not see a way to purchase the rights to use the cartoon. Could you direct me to one.

Hi Rochelle, at this time none of my cartoons are available for licensing and are fully copyrighted although I may make them available in the future. Thanks for asking and not just taking. - RG
