Where to start....
Im a mommy blogger...yes but this site is not for all my mommy moments. For that you want TheChickenista, my personal blog. I'm also a woman, the head shopper, CEO and CFO of my household. I do all the shopping. From the food to the big tickets items.
For new to me products, I do most my research on line. I love reading reviews of places and products before I buy. {If you're a PR Blogger, I've probably stalked your blog a bit ;)} If you have read TheChickenista, you know that's the geek in me. Hubby says he's just a walking checkbook...but he would definitely rather be that then have to do the leg work. Since I'm a stay at home momma, my job is to stretch whatever comes into this house! By any means necessary. Coupons, bargain bins, vintage stores, bulk stores, deal seeking is a must!
I have four kids. My sons are ages 11, 10, 6 and my daughter is 4. I have a busy life. I home-educate all my children and we maintain a "farm" for our own personal enjoyment...and food! .... so Im very busy. If I find a product that can shave 15 minutes of my day, to me thats a nap....If its saves me $15 well that's pizza and I can take the night off! I love finding deal-lios and awesome products and sharing them with anyone who'll listen.
I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Sort of, I was born in Texas but I only lived there a short time. I married my soul-mate when I was 22. He's the reason I do what I do. He's an awesome father, friend and Hubs. I love knowing I get to be the one that wakes up to him every morning. We met at work, and you know how that goes! We knew right away this was it.
Just before our 2nd son was born we married. We were planning on getting married before we had any children... Valentines Day {I know barf} but on Christmas we found out we were preggers! Then, I absolutely hated the fact of being fat in a wedding dress and wanted to wait....Not even thru nursing my first, he goes and knocks me up again {I know right!} So, by then people were wondering, heck I was wondering, if we'd ever find the right time.
We had went to Vegas on a whim to hang out and see the sights before having 2 kids to wrestle with, and what happens... we get married in Vegas! With our oldest as our best man and some people we just met as witnesses, we were hitched! The ceremony was filled with laughs and sarcasm, instead of "I do" I said "hell yeah!" We're crazy, funny and total opposites but completely dependent on each other. We just don't function well any other way. He's a Harley man and I'm the safe mini van. But somehow we blend. When people ask, I always say yes, we got married in Vegas at Circus Circus.. Its the only place that'll marry a couple of clowns! Ha!
