In honor of the upcoming love-filled holiday of Valentine’s Day… I decided to participate in this mushy love survey! I saw it over on Kat’s blog.. and new I wanted to play along spacer
A lot of you probably know most of these stories by now, but hey – it’s all in the spirit of Valentine’s Day!
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Justin and I have been dating for over 3 years, living together for 1.5, and engaged for just about 6 months. Our wedding is 6 months from TODAY! spacer

2. How did you meet? {What’s your “love” story?}
I do have an “our story” post.. so check that out for the long version…
My bridesmaid, Christine, had asked me to down to her apartment.. so I packed up my car and made the trek to see her. She lived about an hour away but I missed her dearly. We headed out to some bars in one of the younger cities in the state. She knew Justin was going to be meeting us out and had kind of planned on setting us up. Welp.. it worked! spacer We hit it off and began dating. And then we never stopped dating.

3. If married, how long have you been married?
We are GETTING married on August 10 – if you wan to know more about out wedding plans.. then check them out here!
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We are getting married at a beautiful place on a lake. It has fantastic water views and has a great reputation. Our ceremony, however, will be at a church in my hometown.. the one  I grew up going to.  Our wedding is pretty big.  Bigger than I expected it to be. But I have a pretty larger family!  We are inviting just about 200 people.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
I call Justin babe… and he calls me the same. We aren’t too creative over in this neck of the woods. Justin is an accountant.. so he has an excuse for his lack of nick=name creativity. But as I second grade teacher.. I have failed!

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
He makes me laugh. Every day. Even when I tell him his jokes are corny… I still appreciate it!
He would drop anything to help me.
He is very family oriented – which makes me sure that he will be a wonderful father. He is already a fabulous dog-dad.

7. Tell us how he proposed?
Read the whole story here.. but I think this picture will say enough! spacer
spacer
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
Flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for sure!
spacer
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
We love to be outside – but we also love our down time! Right now Justin is working a lot and I am just stressed like I always am.. so we are definitely relaxing on the couch watching a movie WAY more then we are out and about! (We also like to play with photo booth..)
spacer
10. Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
One thing I really want to do after we are married and before we have children.. is travel to Europe. I want to go for a couple of weeks and see a lots of different places. Perhaps we can save for that after our tropical honeymoon! (JUSTIN.. ARE YOU READING THIS??! spacer )
spacer

Ready to travel OUTSIDE the U.S... tho San Fran was great!

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine’s Day.
I am really not sure! Valentine’s Day falls smack in the middle of busy season for an accountant! Chances are we will be celebrating on the weekend that follows busy season! I don’t need any fancy celebrations! Just being together snuggled up on the couch is good enough for me! spacer
spacer

Or we can see a 3D movie! (Like the Lion King!)

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine’s day?
Nope!  I don’t need or want anything except for love! Cheesy, I know.. but I am not materialistic.. and we’ve got a wedding coming up! (And I also have some big travel plans for the future if you missed that question above!)
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Communication. Trust. SHOW your love.. don’t just say it.
14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.

Kelsey over at Fitness Fanatic tagged me in this neat survey that has been flying around the interwebz.. and you know how much I love surveys.. so I am gladly giving it a go!!

1. Post these rules.
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them you’ve tagged them.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about you are tagged if you are reading this. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

Okay… here are some RaNdOm things that you probably don’t even want to know about me….

When I was 2 or 3… I used to snack on milkbones.  Yes. Milkbones. The treats that you give to dogs.  It was Christmastime and we were at my grammy’s house in NJ.  Whenever I got hungry, I made my way down to the laundry room where the milkbones were stored and had myself a little snack.  I guess I got caught.  Did you know that eating dog food will make a human constipated?  Well, it does. Or so I’ve been told by those who were a part of my dog food eating fiasco.  There is a video were I look like I am going to cry.. and my aunt asks if I’ve been eating milk bones again because I look constipated!

I never sleep to my alarm clock. It is usually set for 4:40 am. I wake up at around 4:25 each morning and then get out of bed at 4:35. I think Justin appreciates not hearing my alarm a good 2.5 hours before he needs to get up! spacer

I lose writing utensils like it is my job. We have NO pens in our condo. It takes me quite a while to find a pen in my classroom. I also bought a 12 pack of expo dry erase markers over Christmas break (rougtly 6 weeks ago). I know were ONE of those markers is now.. and it is about to run out of ink spacer

I eat at least two pounds of carrots a week. They are just so easy to snack on. They taste good too.. that is always a plus!

I talk to my mother every day. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! She is my best friend and has been there for me through thick and thin!

I use self tanner to prevent myself from blending in with white walls.

Now that the days are getting longer, seeing the sunrise on my way to work is definitely a perk.

spacer

I have a mustache. It may look like paper.. but I promise you it is real.

My maid of honor is training for a marathon and I am a little jealous of her. She has never run more than 5 miles at a time.. so this is a big deal for her. I might have been convinced to run it with her but it is the same reason as my Tough Mudder.

Speaking of Tough Mudder, I tried to recruit more people to join mine and Justin’s team (I know that is grammatically incorrect). I even got a few bites. Then we realized that our day is sold out. Oy Vey.

I am getting married 6 months from TOMORROW. WOOP!

And now for the questions that  Kelsey asked…

1) If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

As in breakfast.. lunch.. or
