Think you have to pay a hefty premium to get a thin and powerful laptop with good battery life? Not if you’re getting an Ultrabook™.
Ultrabooks are a new class of ultraportable laptops that measure less than 21mm thick, get five or more hours of battery life, use a powerful Intel® Core i3™, i5 or i7 processor and wake almost instantly from a sleep state. All for around $1,000.
Ultrabooks are the perfect laptop for people on the go, easily slipping into a bag or briefcase and barely noticeable from a weight perspective - you’ll find yourself bringing your laptop more places than ever before. With their ultra-slim profile, they’re also a dramatic style statement.
The 13" Lenovo® IdeaPad® U300s is a perfect example of everything an Ultrabook has to offer:
We're giving away a Lenovo U300s ($1049 MSRP) to one lucky Techlicious subscriber, courtesy of Intel! Enter through February 24th, 2012 for a chance to win.
We will randomly select one (1) winner from the entries. No purchase is necessary to win. The giveaway will end at 11:59pm on February 24th, 2012. Void where prohibited. U.S. residents only. Click here for the full rules.

I have an old Lenovo. I use it for work which frequently requires me to travle. It is so heavy lugging it all around. I would love a new one and one that’s not so heavy.

My daughter is in 4th grade now and asking for her “own” computer. I am not so sure about “own” but I agree that she needs a computer available to her all the time. So this will be for her and she will be delighted.

I need an Intel powered notebook for use upstairs. I have my desktop in my office, and I have an Android tablet, but I do not do anything financial on my tablet. There are some things I just won’t do. A laptop would solve that issue. And nothing but Intel for me, sorry AMD.

My Dell Inspiron is about 6 years old now, runs extremely slow, and is very ill-equipped for web design work. Currently working full time as a computer programmer outside of the house and doing web design work on the side - trying to save up to get out of the crummy, old trailer my daughter and I are living in at the moment.

My oldest granddaughter is extremely intelligent and does a lot of work on the computer. There are four other people in their house so she can’t use the computer as often as she needs to. This would really be wonderful for her.

My wife has an older laptop, which she uses a lot for her school work. She’s a teacher, and she devotes a lot of her extra time to coming up with lesson plans and unique ideas to help her students connect with the material and make learning fun and effective.
If I were able to provide her with this new laptop, she would be able to get much more done in less time and without the frustrations that she currently deals with while working on her old laptop. Thanks (*keeping fingers crossed*)!

I am presently on unemployment but would love to be able to supply my daughter, a single mom, with a Lenovo Ultrabook.
She recently applied for divorce and will have very few resources. Her 2 children (2 and 6) love to go to their favorite educational games and she needs one to keep connected to the outside world while bringing up these two kids on her own.
Her present laptop is 8 years old and has had a known Dell issue with not charging and cannot be repaired - very frustrating and unreliable.
Thank you!!
