Anything that touches me, that makes me dream, that makes my heart skip a beat, that evokes an emotion I want to keep – I love. And I collect.
German hyperrealist painter Marco Reichert‘s newest series “Magic Mountains” makes me happy. I see candy wrapper, sunshine and jellyfish! A perfect mid-week pick-me-up. What do you see?
Lanvin never ceases to amaze their faithful tribe with covetable collections, strong conceptual ideas and ingenious ad campaigns. Every season the table’s laid with beautiful clothes and silhouettes with desire built into them, conveyed through theatrical poetry – topped off with elements of surprise, a dash of irony and tons of attitude.
A new story every time – yet always from the same book.
Alber Elbaz is undeniably a master of beauty, creativity and cool. And how much do you love these quotes??
“I have a problem to do a collection that is a secondary line. I mean, you don’t want to be the stepsister. You want to be Cinderella. Show me one girl who wants to be the stepsister.”
“Power you can buy in a bank. I prefer strength.”
Camouflaged by a sense of wittiness and bordering on naivety, these are powerful ideas that fundamentally embody the spirit of Lanvin.
Here are some of my favourite Lanvin ad campaigns:

Zimmermann‘s autumn/winter 12 campaign is pretty close to perfection. Beautiful clothes, stunning styling, dreamlike creative direction, dancelike poses – carefully crafted to create a feeling of a story that I want to breathe. The last picture here is even beyond perfection.
So refreshingly new and so much more interesting than ordinary lookbook looks where girls are stood like statues with empty glazes.
There really seems to be a wave of interesting creativity coming from Australia right now. We like.
