Upcoming LLF Events.
We at the Liz Logelin Foundation are expanding our event schedule a bit, and we have many awesome events planned for 2012. As always, we’d love to see you at one or more of them.
First up is our first ever fundraising event in Los Angeles! Join us for the LLF Bowl for Hope event on March 10th at 7:30pm at Montrose Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. This is going to be a great a event…There will (of course) be bowling with prizes to be awarded. If you’re not into bowling, well, we have other ways for you to enjoy yourself while helping us raise money for widowed families with children. There will be a wine toss game (think state-fair style ring toss with wine and other prizes to be won) and a head or tails game with an iPad2 on the line. Food will be provided by Gus’s BBQ of South Pasadena. Click here for all the details and to purchase tickets.
Second; for all you hockey fans in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, we’re scheduling an evening at a Minnesota Wild Game: April 7th at 7pm at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN. Click here for all the details and to purchase tickets.
Third, is the Run, Walk, Hope 5k + Maddy's Mile Fun Run: June 9th at 9am at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, MN. Don't forget you can always participate in the walk around the world no matter where you are. (take note that the 5k will be a few months earlier this year).
Finally, this year’s Celebration of Hope will be held on September 22nd at Solera in Minneapolis, MN. (Tickets available soon).
Mark your calendars now! For the latest information and tickets find us on twitter, facebook or check the llf website.
We look forward to seeing you in 2012

it finally happened…
i feared it
from the moment
i found out
we were having a daughter…
i wondered if i would
ever have to deal
with it when
she looked like this:
but as she got
older and her hair
got longer,
the day would
come that
i would have to
braid her hair.

questions (for maddy).
questions.
they came today,
a torrent of them,
an attempt to
make sense of
your little world,
combining the things
we talk about
every day in an
(almost)
4 year
old’s level of comprehension.

holidays.
after a year
of near constant
travel, it was decided
that we should
take a break from
airplanes and celebrate
christmas at home
in los angeles.
that meant that
for the second time
in my life,
(and the first for maddy and brooke)
i spent a christmas
away from minnesota.
even though i dislike
the holiday, i really
do like being around
friends and family
during the holidays
and it was going to
be tough for all
of us to be away.
so we made sure we
kept ourselves very busy.
