Reese's Cards: The Complete Series

spacer I'm finished with the Reese's card series, and this is the result - fourteen tiny little drawings made with an assortment of pens (mostly my Uniball Jetstream). Click the above picture to see a much larger version of the lineup, or click the "peanut butter cups" tag below to see them individually.

Now I have to go get a new bag of candy... so I can draw on their wrappers, of course.

Finish Friday

spacer This is a new weekly feature on Burn the Internet, Finish Friday, in which I finish an ongoing project. This week I put an end to my Reese's card series, for which I drew on a whole bag's worth of those little cardboard squares you find in fun size Reese's peanut butter cups.

This will probably be the last Finish Friday.

One More To Go

spacer H. Jon Benjamin has done a lot of stuff since Home Movies, but for some reason I still call him McGuirk no matter what he does.

It's A Soft G

spacer I finished eating all those peanut butter cups weeks ago, but I still have three of these things to draw on. This is a drawing of a Pidgey figurine I happened to have on my desk. Pidgey kinda looks like Yugioh if he was a tiny bird Pokémon.

Franklin Dime Roosevelt

spacer Today I drew president FDR as he appears on the dime, except he's slightly manlier in this rendition.

Got Another New Pen

spacer I got a new Micron pen earlier in the week, and today I test drove it on one of those peanut butter cup cards. It draws a ridiculously narrow line.

Packaging Maniacs

spacer I recently stumbled upon Pose Maniacs, a site that contains a bunch of random figure poses, one of which I drew onto one of those Reese's cards (I'm still doing that series, you know). If you want to practice drawing people, or if you just have a thing for that woman on the cover of Nirvana's In Utero album, give the site a visit.

This drawing was done with my Pigma brush pen, which probably wasn't a good idea, considering how small the paper was.

Propane Rites

spacer I was drawing Hank Hill with my new pen, and near the end it stopped working a bit. It's really more of a drawing pen than a writing pen.

Woo! Hero Carnival!

spacer Watching this week's Heroes and drawing the evil carny guy. Whereas they seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel this season with new heroes like "deaf nurse who can see sounds" and "lady who makes tattoos on her back that look like photos of random characters ran through a Photoshop filter", Samuel has awesomeness to spare; he's like if Evel Dick had superpowers.

Where's My Chippy?

spacer I thought there was something wrong with myself for owning buttons of Chippy, but then I saw this and felt a lot better.

Here's a horrible trivia fact - this is the fourth different pen that I've used for these peanut butter cup drawings.

Tea Cup

spacer I was waiting for this tea to cool down, and I had my pile of peanut butter cup wrappers nearby and figured this would be a good time to do today's drawing.

Ridin' on a Murshaq Back

spacer Photoshop Elements doesn't work on this computer for some reason, so until then, there will probably be a lot more actual drawings, for better or worse. This one is another peanut butter cup drawing of a Murshaq - half mermaid, half Shaquille O'Neal, and a hundred percent pretty cool.

America's Funnyman

spacer Another peanut butter cup drawing today - this time it's one of my favorite comedians, Neil Hamburger.
