We’re thrilled you’ve surfed your way here and hope you will continue to do so as you spread the word about us. This is intended to be the only time I write anything for this site. Our Young Chicagonista motto is “Girl Inspired. Girl Powered.” We’ve gathered a vibrant and intelligent group of contributors from all over Chicagoland. They range in age from 8 to 17 and represent the diverse nature of our metropolitan area.

This website provides the girls of Chicago a place to call their own — to connect with their peers from the North Shore to the Far South Side and out to all of our suburbs. I will simply guide their coverage of the Windy City and cultivate their interest in journalism and web technology.
