New bridge technologies made building the I-15 West Mesquite Interchange faster, resulting in less congestion for travelers. By using an innovative method known as accelerated bridge construction, workers quickly assembled the bridge and put it into place during off-peak travel times. Of the 13,300 projects obligated, more than 3,900 projects are under construction and more than 9,100 projects have been completed. The ARRA provides significant new funding for transportation infrastructure.
