How To Get Interviewed – Invitations

If you are a romance writer, publisher or artist,

I want you on my show.

Click the envelope to send me an email: spacer

Tell me a little about yourself—briefly—what kind of books you write, how many have you’ve had published (it’s okay if this is your first release) and let me know if you have a release due and when.

If  you are a publisher, tell me which one and what your job/function is.

I don’t need much as all I want is to know who you are (I’d like to know both your pen name and actual name – I get confused easily). I’ll email you back, usually within 24 hours, to start the process.

The first part of the process is qualification. The Romance Radio Network is wonderful promotion and helps sell books. To start, send me a chapter of your book and a brief bio. Within a day, I’ll get back to you and let you know if you make the cut. I want to see your final, edited work.

If you meet professional standards, I’ll send you a return email detailing most all I need to schedule you for an interview.

We’ll need to agree on a convenient date and time and I’ll need a telephone number.

If we’re going to be discussing a particular book, a new release, for instance, please arrange to have an Advance Review Copy (ARC) sent to me at least a week prior to our recording session.

When I call you on our scheduled date and time, I will not have the recorder enabled. I’d like to chat for a few minutes, prior to recording. When we’re ready, I’ll announce I’m recording and the basic format is your background as a writer, your latest book and then what you’re doing in the immediate future. If you’re a publisher, we’ll talk about publishing, your company, what you do for them and we may get involved on some tangential subjects.

After we disconnect, I’ll edit the file, add the R•R•N theme music, add my intro and piece it all together. The result is a MP3 file, universally compatible with all MP3 players, including the iPod, iPhone and iPod Touch. I’ll send you a link to use on your web site and also a link where you can download a free web audio player to embed on your web pages, allowing your fans to play the interview directly. I’ll send the same package to your publisher.

Allow approximately 45 minutes for our session and don’t worry, if we make a mistake, I can stop and restart or edit the file.

My intent is to present you in the best possible light and promote your books.

I am requesting an interview for my book Love Me Sane? This is a realistic love story where the protagonist is dealing with difficult issues. My book is listed on Smashwords. If you are interested in looking at it send me an email address so I can send you a free coupon. I am a new author, this is my first book and I need some publicity. Thank you in advance for considering me for an interview. Tralisa McNeal

Would love to do an interview on your show. I’m a West Texas gal who writes Romance comedy. Heard your interview with one of my fellow authors Nora Watson and it sounded great. Can you post your e-mail address somewhere due to the one that is here is not working for me or e-mail me at spacer

    Desmond,

Hello. I have a book coming out next month called, “Better Than 8: Fantasy.” This book is the first of a 8 planned book series.

Amara Simmons has always fantasized about having two lovers but believes it is just that: a fantasy. She likes her men “gifted”, if you know what I mean. At the suggestion of a friend she registers for an online dating website for well-endowed men called betterthan8.com. She believes nothing will come of her site membership but after months of flirting online via email and instant messaging, she’s shocked to discover that she’s fallen for a gorgeous Latin man that has the potential to be her everything – except he never calls and she has no idea why. Nursing a broken heart she is totally unprepared to meet her would-be Latin lover in person much less at the negotiation table of a multi million-dollar real estate deal. In Puerto Rico, passion ignites. Promises are finally fulfilled and the lines of reality blur when her fantasy finally blooms to life. Can Amara have it all: the deal, the man, and the fantasy?

Hi, Desmond. I have just had a book come out this month, “Craigs’ Legacy” under my co-authored pen name, Terry Campbell. I have two books coming out in March. One, written under my real name, is “Buried in Briny Bay,” a cozy novella and one of four to be published about two sisters and located in a small North Carolina town–it has a mild love interest for one sister (in second book that becomes more intense). The other is my first solo indie work, a long short story/short novella, “Millicent,” that will launch my eight book sci-fi romance series, The Cash Chronicles.

I have my co-written backlist of three books out in digitat format, one new paranormal, “It’s Magic,” that released in November written as Daryn Cross and L.J. DeLeon. “Craigs’ Legacy” released in February and now these last two in March. This year, I’ll have another three novels published with small press (plus my editor is trying to decide how many of the Briny Bay mystreies wil come out, probably two more) and am planning to indie pub another intro short with four books in The Cash Chronicles.

I’d love to work with you.

    Bobbye Terry
