Whether you have been using this plan all along or want to boost your efforts--on snow or no snow--as you get ready for Birkie 2012, check out this last installment of the Birkie Training Plan.
Developed by our own Coach Bill Pierce and featured in Outside Magazine online, this final "Countdown to Birkie" will keep you fresh, strong, and motivated as you get ready to take on this year's Birke, either for the first time or as a long-tiem Birkie skier.
And, whether you have snow where you are or you are still dry-land training, there is room for flexibility in this plan to accommodate your local conditions, like roller skiing if you can't get on snow. As always, each workout and each week is designed to work together to improve your endurance, strength, speed, and balance.
