A Beauty that should not be Missed

Posted on 2008-12-18 14:09:36 by spacer TheJoe:

Beneath a Steel Sky is a true story, it's a lot more like reading a book than playing a game and that's something I look for in all games.
BASS throws you into this Dystopian world as Revolution's most fantastic character, Robert Foster.
Be prepared for intrigue, mystery and scandal as you uncover the deep, dark secrets of this dreamworld of a city - where the poor live in the read more skies, and the rich on the ground, away from the pollution, corruption and crime.
While being a perfectly linear and predictable game, Beneath a Steel Sky is really all about the story - and it's a very deep story with an unexpected end.

Excellent Old School Adventure

I've had this since it's initial release on the Amiga and have been playing it on & off since. Hell I just installed scummvm on my PDA so I can play this, now I can have it on my laptop too (Thanks GOGgers)!
It's an excellent adventure game with a solid story, mostly logical puzzles, beautiful graphics (for the era), top dialogue that's generally serious but with sprinklings of excellent humour.
In short, worth every cent...

Amazing for a Free Game

Posted on 2009-01-13 03:08:36 by spacer Jangaroo123:

I heard about this game a while back, but never got around to checking it out. Oddly enough, I was browsing through GOG and noticed that they had the game available. Having downloaded it and beaten it, I can say that this game is AMAZING. Notice the caps there. AMAZING. It plays like many of the other point and click adventure games I'm sure many of you have played, such as Sam read more and Max and Monkey Island. With a great story, good dialogue, and enough nostalgia to make an old foggy weep, I recommend this game with much gusto. It's also free for you cheap skates.
