I started a family blog in 2007 as a modern way to journal the life of my family.  I have been a fan of many crafty blogs as they have transformed over the years.  I have always been into design and all things creative and decided it was time to share my world with the rest of the world.  In the Spring of 2011 while helping my husband with his senior project, Makoodle was born.

I am the mom to 3 bright and energetic kids.  I am a busy mom and devoted wife who has learned to cherish everyday moments.  They enjoy helping me with my crafty projects and occasionally make appearances on Makoodle.  They have a collection of craft supplies under their bunk beds and one day I expect to be helping them set up their own blogs.

I also work full-time for a healthcare company as an eBusiness Analyst – which means I help build and manage websites.  I have a love of the “web” and enjoy all aspects from the technical to the marketing and social aspects.  I am a bit of a nerd, but I try to keep it at bay .

In a previous life I worked full-time running a business as a wedding videographer.  I learned that running your own business is rough, but also deeply rewarding.  I miss being an entrepreneur.  However, I don’t miss late nights, 80 hour weeks, and busy weekends.  I also don’t miss working with demanding brides (and their mothers!).

I enjoy long evening walks in the spring and fall.  I love our yearly visit(s) to my parents cabin in Island Park.  I love celebrating birthdays and holidays.  I would be lost without my camera.  I wish I made more time to exercise.  I wish I made more time to read.  A perfect evening after the kids have gone down includes putting on my comfies, wrapping up in my king sized down comforter, and perusing the Internet while watching a show on TV.
