About TEDxMidwest
TEDxMidwest seeks to develop and leverage the TED experience at a regional level, bringing together top innovators and amazing speakers from Chicago as well as the rest of the world. It will be a 1¼ day event featuring 25 main speakers following the standard TED 18-minute format, along with a smaller group of contributing speakers doing shorter presentations. Speakers will include business icons, great authors, provocateurs, renowned scientists, chefs, musicians, designers, actors, and artists, among others.
1000 people will be attending the event at The Oriental Theatre Thursday afternoon, October 13, and all day Friday, October 14, with a reception to follow. There is only a small charge ($99) for attendees because of our great sponsors, and lunch will be provided. There will be ample time to connect and meet with the speakers and other members of the audience.

TEDxMidwest is known for its world class speakers, including inventor Dean Kamen, psychologist Phil Zimbardo, hacker Pablos Holman and National Geographic photographer Paul Nicklen.
