Welcome to The Ginger Pig

There is no great secret to what we do: we simply raise the best animals, in the happiest of circumastances, on the finest stretch of Yorkshire Moors we could find. Only by ensuring that our pigs, cattle and sheep receive the highest level of care can we be sure our customers will receive the quality they have come to expect. It's not a philosophy or mission statement. It's just what we do.

We now have five London shops and three farms on the beautiful North york Moors.

HRH Prince charles

On Friday 27th January HRH Prince Charles and TV Personality Kirsty Allsop paid a visit to Greensmiths in Waterloo and popped in to see The Ginger Pig butchers as he unveiled plans to create a vibrant community hub around Waterloo station by drawing on the spending power of commuters. NEW HAMBURGERS
(from sat 28th jan)

from Saturday 28th January we will have a limited supply of some new hamburgers we are trying.  They are a whopping 300 grams each and made with smoked bacon and smoked ham (from tamworth pigs). The meat is coarsely minced and parsley added.

We think the hamburgers will make a great breakfast or brunch with a fried egg on top and served with chips.  They cost £3 each and will be available in all our shops

Spring Lamb at Leiths

Thinking ahead to spring and the start of our new seasons lamb Tim Wilson and Fran Warde are joining Leiths Cookery School on Thursday 17th May for a one off demonstration of Lamb Butchery and a few recipes.
