A well made fixed position tower defense game with an interesting blocking mechanic.

This is also a flash game and you can find it if you search for it. I myself sinked about 8 hours into the flash version.

I picked this up a week or so ago and love it. Great TD game!

Probably one of the best TD games I've played. And I concur that you should check out the flash game if you want to lose a day or weekend on it. The upgrade mechanic makes for great progress and the challenge levels give it great strategy and replayability.
And while those are the only four towers and two powers you get, the game does a good job of mixing it up. There are several bosses, levels have unique mechanics on them, and you eventually get the ability to upgrade each type of tower to one of two awesome specialty towers.

It's actually the first result if you google Kingdom Rush. Was it so hard to provide a link? :p

Ron Gilbert was talking about how he was staying home sick and playing this game.

I wish they would have played more of it to see what a great experience this game is- it is one of the best games on iOS, not just one of the best TD games. Simply an awesome, awesome game with tons of depth, charming art and just downright fun! Later levels become a real challenge but without being frustrating. I really can't recommend this game enough. Get it!

What's this "It gets harder"/"It gets more difficult" business? Is it purely about avoiding of ambiguity and innuendo? If not, "harder" is a perfectly acceptable synonym of "more difficult", and is much less awkward.

I've played this game quite a bit. It's pretty fun. You can also try it on Google Chrome.
