We humans are social creatures. From quilting circles and volunteer fire brigades to gathering every summer at the lake with family and friends, we’ve always sought places to share good times, swap old stories and form new friendships.

Tahoe Mountain Club was founded in this same spirit but with a more exhilarating twist. We invite you to have adventures and make discoveries. Go ahead and try telemarking. Try fly-fishing. Try a food you’ve never heard of, much less can pronounce. Just try something new, we’re here to lead you through it all or point you in the right direction. And even though we’re not exactly what you’d call mountain guides – we’ll always make sure you find what you need and help you realize that you belong here.

Just to make it official, we wrote this mission statement:
