Nanamica’s managing director Mr. Eiichiro Homma spent almost 20 years working for Japanese distribution company GOLDWIN INC., where he was in charge of everything from design and product development through to the promotion of their many outdoor brands that included the likes of The North Face, Filson and Champion. Homma left GOLDWIN to start his own company Nanamica in early 2003. The company now has three standalone stores across Japan and the brand is stocked at some of the finest retail outposts around the world. Homma-san is a true pioneer, and it should come as no surprise that he and his Nanamica team are also the brains behind the much coveted Japan-only North Face Purple Label as well as the recently introduced Filson Red Label.

Nanamica has a truly unique hybrid approach to design and their ability to harmoniously fuse tradition with the contemporary is virtually unparalleled. Collections consist of traditional and utilitarian silhouettes such as trench coats, parkas, duffels, down vests and field jackets that are all crafted using cutting-edge technical fabrics that include GORE-TEX®, Pertex and Cordura.
