The protocol, known as MQTT, was developed 10 years ago and has remained relatively obscure. It’s implementation by a powerhouse like Facebook is expected to catapult it to high-profile standing.
Deutsche Telekom Launches M2M Marketplace Portal

Global telecommunications powerhouse Deutsche Telekom is rolling out an international M2M marketplace. The Bonn, Germany-based company announced its portal plan at an industry meeting in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Friday. The portal will offer a platform for partner companies, of which there are currently 40, to hawk their M2M wares to hardware, software, and systems integration providers.
