Some say that making your way through the world today, takes everything you’ve got. This is very true for our protagonist, Devon.  A functional alcoholic, Devon is the owner of King, and best friends with Cory.Having just dropped out of college, Cory managed to get Devon a good deal on his apartment. With that extra money, Devon enjoys his TV, DVD’s, and game console. Between beers of course.

Age: 56 (in dog years)

First Appearance: (#2) March 17, 2008

After leaving a successful career to be Devon’s pet, King has spent most of his time living the good life. Sleeping as much as he wants, eating as much as he wants.  Recently, however, King has apparently made the decision to advertise some other talents, other than “rollover” and “sit”.

Age: 28

First Appearance: (#8) April 28, 2008

Best friends of Devon, Cory’s a little older, got his stuff together, and all around nice guy. He’s the angel on Devon’s shoulder that is constantly ignored.

Age: 22

First Appearance: (#37) October 3, 2008

Known first and foremost as a cheerfully happy-go-lucky Bible Thumper, Gabby first met Devon when he still went to College with her. She and Devon went on one date and it’s been cat and mouse ever since.
