About

Hi!  I’m Alex.  And this is my slice-of-life, journal-ish comic wherein I pass along the wisdom I have gained from my 25 years.

Alex’s Guide to a Life Well-Lived was originally a 24 Hour Comic I did on November 8th, 2008.  After finishing Garanos in 2010, I decided to make more Alex’s Guide comics until I figured out what I wanted to do next, and here I still am over a year later, so I suppose I’ll be doing this for awhile!

I’ve been doing webcomics since 2005, and have a BFA from Ohio State University.  In addition to comics, I exhibit my work at conventions and I’m working on building my art and comics into a full-time job.  I’m also a staff member of the Webcast Beacon Network of podcasts, and I cohost the Newscast and the Tropecast.

I’m currently located in Columbus, OH, and for the moment I’m holding down a menial retail job.  Feel free to drop me an email if you like the comic!

Appearing in this Comic…

I don’t think I quite need a full-on cast page yet, so this will go here.  Populating this comic are myself and several of the people in my life, most frequently my boyfriend Chris, and our friend Susan.  Some of my coworkers make it in from time to time, as well, but mostly they argue amongst themselves about who has and hasn’t been put into a comic yet…

Should this list expand significantly, then I will elaborate further, but that ought to do it for now.  You can scroll down to the tag cloud in the left sidebar to see names (and various subjects), which will link to a list of comics they are tagged in.

If you’d like to link to my comic (thanks!) then you can use this banner.  (Please save to your own server.)
