Why a lie? Is it because of the Bremsstrahlung losses? Anyway I hope there soon be a clean and viable solution for energy, because I think energy is the second major problem of humankind - the first is our ego.

No, the biggest problem in the world is that there are many crooks who want other's people money. The fundraisers of this "reactor" are an example. I do not know your role in the venture; but the whole project is a scam. If you want to believe in something, better believe in god and not in a scam or in the crooks behind it.

I have no role in it, and I absolutely don't believe in anything. It's just that I read about it in internet and wanted to suggest it for your book, as I've done before. I didn't know it's a scam. Also I agree with you that the biggest problem in the world are crooks, because I think saying lies as well as all other destructive behaviors of mankind is because of their egos (by ego I mean what Eckhart Tolle mentions in his book "A New Earth"). Anyway if you think I am a fool or a crook please feel free to delete this entry.

If you are not part of the project, there is no need to worry; my only point is that the project is nonsensical. The project is either a scam or run by people who lie to themselves and who do not listen to the facts. I get many mails by people claiming nonsense as true; I therefere always directly say what to think about such statements.

Suggestions for better design and document properties

• Use a professional designer for cover, back cover, and illustrations; also change them to the quality required for offset printing.

• Reduce pdf size by removing photoshop/illustrator metadata. Either pre-process ps before distilling with awk/perl or use commercial application 'pdf enhancer'. Saves 14.1MB (CS: I need a way to do this on the mac offline, for all files in my image directory; just let me know how to do it, while keeping the original eps files editable with Illustrator.)

• Convert all videos to one common codec. Use h.264 in case that by the time of the next book release Windows Media Player ships out of the box with this codec. Should save an additional 7MB & ensure future compatibility and playability across platforms -- once all major platforms come with this codec. (CS: ok, but how do I change codec?)

Perhaps consider the VP8 codec www.webmproject.org/

CS: my foremost issue is that I do not even know how to convert a video from one codec to another...

I may be able to help with this. I emailed you as I have been having issues with the videos but didn't get a reply.

The best way I know is with Avidemux. Download it from avidemux.berlios.de/download.html drop your file in it, in the left column change video to MPEG-4 AVC (another name for H.264) audio to AAC and format to MP4, then save the new file.
