Arrr matey, here be monkeys!

Simian-obsessed, massively-bestselling-robot-fighting-pirate wannabe, Mark A. Rayner is a writer of satirical and speculative fiction.

He is the author of two novels, dozens of short stories, and several plays.  His latest novel, Marvellous Hairy, is about a surrealistic writer being turned into a monkey by an unscrupulous biotech corporation. His first novel, The Amadeus Net, is set in a post-apocalyptic utopia in which an immortal Mozart tries to keep his longevity a secret, all while contemplating the snipping off his own “sprouter”. (Really.)

By day, Mark  teaches his bemused students at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies (at The University of Western Ontario), how to construct digital images, web sites, and viable information architectures that will not become self-aware and destroy all humans.

You can learn more about Mark and his writings at this website.  Later, there will be cake…
