About Jessica Graves and The Love List

spacer

In the third person... Jess Graves, a Ft. Worth, Texas native spent the brunt of her childhood under the Spanish moss eating oysters on the state line of South Georgia and North Florida. After visiting family there her whole life, she relocated to the island of Palm Beach, Florida as a young adult and traded shady Oaks and Camellias for Palm leaves and Hibiscus. She has been in freelance creative services specializing in branding and social media since 2007, working with retailers, designers, and creative brands large and small. She has been blogging for over six years and in self-publishing even longer -- she even takes on the occasional freelance writing gig. Jess likes live music, cooking with friends,  and painting her nails insane colors. She does not like mosquitoes or phoney baloneys.

Oh yeah, and she makes a living too...

Jess is available through her company, Graves Social for:

Brand and identity consulting
Social media management
Creative content and copywriting
Consulting and strategy for social media and blogging

A Little Background:
The Love List was founded in 2007 as a literal list of things Jessica loves and has since evolved greatly to a trend-driven lifestyle site for women ages 18-35. The site focuses on the resort lifestyle of it's home base in Palm Beach, FL mixed with the chic big-city sensibility of Manhattan. The Love List has been featured in House Beautiful Magazine, Garden and Gun Magazine, The Washington Post, The Seattle Times, The Boston Globe, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Palm Beach Illustrated, in West Elm stores, Matchbook Magazine, and in numerous other blogs.

Want to Advertise?
We love our advertisers. So much so, we only let certain people work with us. Yup, picky. That's for two reasons: one, so our readers know what we're endorsing is legit. Two, because we like to find creative solutions and really work with our ad partners to find cool ways to make both of our brands (and readers) happy. We think advertising should be a lot more than a graphic on a sidebar, don't you? If you think we'd be a good match, then by all means, we'd love to hear from you! So holler at our ad rep, Jennifer Gioia: jenn@thelovelist.net

Editorial Policy:
The Love List's posts are selected and complied by our staff and ultimately approved by Founder and Editor Jessica Graves. We only feature things we genuinely love. You cannot pay to be featured on The Love List. Selling posts and editorial coverage destroys our integrity and the trust of our readers, who we value first and foremost. On occasion, we will do a post on behalf of our private sponsors, who are chosen with great care to make sure they are a good fit with our blog and relevant to our readers. These will always be clearly defined as sponsored posts. We invite thoughtful pitches and give preference to exclusive tips.

Giveaways:
Occasionally, in conjunction with our advertisers, or simply in partnership with companies we think are cool, we'll do product giveaways. We strive to keep our giveaways high-end and relevant. We always ensure that products are items we use and love ourselves -- otherwise we wouldn't endorse them! Items always pass through our hands for approval first and are then sent directly to the reader to maintain  integrity.

Winners are always privately notified by email or direct message (for our twitter winners) and are never publicly announced to respect our reader's privacy. If a winner doesn't respond within ten business days to our notification, then we return to the pool and draw a new name using the Random Number Generator.
