Irresistible Temptation! ^^

October 27th, 2011 | Author: fame

spacer My day is always incomplete without my dear lovely and tempting coffee. I always have it every morning after having my Korean styled breakfast. Well, today’s breakfast is so great because we were served with spam and my favorite steamed broccoli. I hope we’d have more of those tomorrow morning, kkk. Now I’m wishful again. I just don’t know what’s in the coffee that makes me so addicted to the point of feeling weak every time I forget to drink it early in the morning. Btw, here’s my favorite three-in-one coffee. I’m guessing this is one of your favorites too. Irresistible temptation indeed! spacer spacer spacer

Almost done with Setting up

October 12th, 2011 | Author: fame

Whew! I hope I’d be finished setting up this domain tonight. I failed to save some important codes but nah…it’s okay. Though it actually takes time to set up but it’s worth the experience to go back to square one. Indeed it’s worth refreshing the steps…now I’m more like a noob in dancing! spacer Hell yeah I surely can make it through and even more beautiful than before. All I need to find for now is the right touch to reflect my thoughts for this page. It’s so difficult to choose among other awesome themes and templates for free online. I don’t have enough skills in designing my own page here so I have to be dependent upon free themes and be contented with it. spacer spacer spacer

Funny Wednesday – Training bloopers

September 14th, 2011 | Author: fame

This afternoon’s training session was so funny that we really cracked up until our bellies hurt. Oh dear! Well let me tell you why. We were basically brainstorming on the writing task I gave them early this morning. Then I asked them to present their ideas and report about the given line graphs. It so happened that that graph contained keywords which has a green meaning and it so happened that I kept on repeating that particular word as I was writing while one dictated her ideas for me. I didn’t know that they really paid much more significance on my voice that they asked me what I said and laughed out loud looking at their co-trainee who was blushing. Then I knew that they picked on him knowing that he was the one who actually clarified that word to me. I too had a delayed reaction and laughed even after they had finished laughing. Honestly I do have this behavior of late reaction and I laugh many times over a simple joke just like what happened this afternoon. Grins. Care to know what was the word? Well,…hmmm it’s…penetration. Laughs. I just remembered their faces again that’s why i’m even giggling while writing this entry. spacer spacer spacer

Time for Back Up Gals ^^

September 1st, 2011 | Author: fame

I’ve been idle here for a couple of weeks due to an urgent matter in our department. Anyhow, I’m here up and about again to update and back up my all my files while filling out those empty days I was away. I missed this blog oh mine, really. spacer spacer spacer Here’s one trivia I’d like you to figure out and I hope I can get some responses, kkk – “The shower smiles in a politician.” ^^

Got Focused for the First Time

August 15th, 2011 | Author: fame

This morning’s class went well but not great though for my first class was disappointing apart from two of my students, who were annoyingly rude. They even had the guts to ask for short time for an unnecessary excuse. Meaningless excuse actually. It’s not my loss and I’m not guilty for it. They should realize the importance of every minute wasted for nothing. I hope they’d come to class tomorrow though so we can have another round of great discussions. Though they are rude most of the times, they do contribute a lot to brainstorming ideas for the most part. However I was having a great time with my other two students this morning for it was my first time to really focus on them both. Somehow I love teaching a small class most especially an IELTS Speaking Class. spacer spacer spacer

A Late Brunch on a Rainy Sunday

August 14th, 2011 | Author: fame

Glee is just so addictive it hooked me on for hours now even without breakfast and lunch. Now it’s time for me to cook our brunch, whew! I’m feeling hunger pangs now. More so, the rain is getting heavier each minute which makes us both hungrier for something hot and creamy. Right…got to go for now… spacer

After an hour…

I’ve got a sumptuous brunch with my brother. Just the right way to have brunch. Now I’m up and about for another few more episodes of season one since I’ve recharged my batteries. Be attending mass later at six o’clock with my brother. My fiance is also coming with us, I believe. Hearing mass on Sundays is a great way to start a week. This is our normal routine every week and it’s so hard to miss Sunday masses since I’ve come home. I’ve been missing Sunday masses for almost five years for I’ve always got work on Sundays abroad. Now that I’m back home for good I won’t miss any mass unless I’m really sick that I cannot walk to church nearby our house. This is my promise to live by. spacer spacer spacer

Addicted to…Glee?

August 12th, 2011 | Author: fame

I’ve been missing here a lot, I know. These days I’ve been hooked on watching Glee Season 1, a very popular TV show in the United States. It’s just so irresistibly good I can’t dare to write my updates even when multitasking. Whew! Now I’m in episode eight and I’m so excited to finish watching the whole season over this weekend. Oh I just can’t get enough of it. I believe Glee brings back good memories of my high school life. Even to this moment I’m trying to write while watching it, heheh. Well, I think I’ve gotta stop right here now as I’ve got to finish updating some of my sites and off to bed for tomorrow’s our schedule to clean up our office at school. This would be my first time to join them cleaning the office as I’ve been working here for only almost two months now. It’s been a great experience working with my colleagues after all. At the end of the day I’m happy and contented of what I have right now. spacer spacer spacer

It Just Occurred To Me

August 5th, 2011 | Author: fame

It just occurred to me this morning that I’ve been working here for a month now. Oh how time flies. I just cannot imagine myself back in ME. It seems that the place doesn’t fit me well. I do love travelling and taking short walks every now and then to parks nearby our flat when I was in China and when I came to work in Qatar, I didn’t have that luxury again. I missed it deeply that makes me even more geared to go home for good aside from other stronger reasons like cultural differences and working atmosphere. My life is completely different back in Doha and I somehow disliked it that’s why I decided to be home for good. I don’t like to dwell on those negative things for it makes me sicker every time I think about it. I’m the type of person who tries and gives all the best even when the situation is so bad. Being optimistic has always been my motto ever since. Life must go on no matter how bad the course of the journey is. spacer spacer spacer

Lax Day at Work

August 4th, 2011 | Author: fame

It’s been a lax day of work today and I like it. We don’t have to conduct trainings for newly hired teachers. We only have to complete our PowerPoint presentations to catch up our deadlines this coming Friday. I just have to speed up editing some presentations for they want it simple and concise at the same time. The good news is that we only have roughly three presentations to make so it’s not really a burden for us. Whew what a wonderful day indeed! spacer I just hope we can submit it tomorrow afternoon. spacer

IELTS Teaching Tips

August 3rd, 2011 | Author: fame

This morning’s IELTS class in our guaranteed program was so funny and at the same time challenging for not all of my Chinese students can easily understand the topics during our discussion. We only talked about some topics in general about culture and traditions of China and we compared it to the Philippines. As a teacher trainer I’ve discovered a new strategy to let my students understand the exam even better most especially the IELTS Speaking tasks. I’ve found out that incorporating video clips and PowerPoint presentations in class enhances student’s retention and builds up their confidence. I’ve shared with them some videos from YouTube about the speaking tasks and asked their ideas about the interview itself. Brainstorming happened and they were able to elaborate their ideas further enhancing their skills in explaining. Here’s some helpful clips I’ve used this morning which really helped us a lot. I hope you’d also use this and appreciate the greater advantages of incorporating advanced technology in teaching English to second language learners. Thanks to abhchannel for uploading these awesome video clips. spacer
