What are you looking at?!!?!?!?
August 17th 2008 00:41
In our goal of becoming millionaires, often we become "active seekers". We're so thirsty for the secret, the ingredient, the key, the solution, the answer to wealth and success that we scavenge and hunt for something - anything - to help us get there.
We read every conceivable book on wealth. We attend every seminar. We listen to every audio program. We consult with mentors. We pay coaches. We do it ALL - and yet, after all these years, we're still in the exact same place we were in when we started. Far away from being rich. Far away from perceived happiness. Far away from our elusive goal of financial freedom.
And then we look at others. People who haven't read a single book about wealth, wouldn't dream of wasting a weekend by attending a seminar, only have music on their iPods instead of motivational speakers, and would never spend money on coaching. And yet, they've got money coming out of their asses. They're rich, they're powerful, and they're living an amazing life.
So what is it that differentiates these two groups - the ones that are a sponge for learning and get nowhere compared to those that couldn't care less about learning but make millions? Well, it's what you're looking at.
If you're obsessively immersing yourself in personal development to the extent that you're LEARNING more than you're DOING, then the message you're sending to the universe is: "I STILL DON'T KNOW ENOUGH TO BE RICH". And while you're suconsciously sending that message, you will never have enough. You will never be rich.
So I say let's take a step back. Let's take a break from the reading and the listening and the coaching and the mentoring. Let's just DO. Do, do, do, and do.
You DO know enough. You DO have enough talent. Stop telling yourself that you don't. Stop acting as if there's more to know. Have you noticed that you keep reading and listening to the same old tired stuff? It's just the same material continuously recycled and regurgitated in a different way.
Doing then learning from your doing is the most profound learning of all.

You lazy bugger!
August 5th 2008 23:39
At the heart of NOT being a millionaire is one thing and one thing only: LAZINESS.
If you're not a millionaire or not well on your way towards being a millionaire, then you're just being a lazy bugger. It's as simple as that.
Maybe you're too lazy to read books about wealth.
Maybe you're too lazy to get a mentor.
Maybe you're too lazy to start a business.
Maybe you're too lazy to attend wealth seminars.
Maybe you're too lazy to change the habits that are holding you back.
Whatever the source of your laziness, just know this: it's stopping you from being financially free. It's stopping you from achieving success. It's stopping you from having everything you could possibly want.
STOP BEING A LAZY BUGGER!

Know your value
July 21st 2008 22:59
How much are you worth? Like, SERIOUSLY, how much do you think you're worth?
The value you place on yourself can be all-determining in your quest to make millions. The best way to look at this is in terms of brands. Which brand do you most want to be like?
If you aspire to be a Ferrari but you act llike a Kia, you've got a problem.
If you aspire to be a Gucci but you act like a Bonds, you've got a problem.
If you aspire to be a Ritz-Carlton but you act like a Formule 1, you've got a problem.
It's really all about CONGRUENCE. You need to be, feel, think, and act as the value you aspire to. Otherwise you'll never move up.

Don't do what others do
July 2nd 2008 22:45
It's a natural human tendency for us to follow the crowd. That's why fashion trends occur, technologies get adopted, and language alters over time. But following the crowd is one sure-fire way of never becoming a millionaire.

What's your problem?!?!?!?!?
June 29th 2008 10:15
I hate it when people say they have "money problems" - because there's no such thing. NO-ONE has "money problems". Not having any money is the CONSEQUENCE of other underlying problems.

The myth of perseverance
June 14th 2008 22:59
So many self-help gurus bang on about PERSEVERANCE. Never quit, they say. Keep going, they urge. Don't stop, they encourage. And in some cases, they're right. But in many they're just plain wrong.

Get out of Hell
June 10th 2008 23:28
One of my favourite quotes is by Winston Churchill who said: "When going through hell, keep going." However, many of us choose to stay in Hell which results in us forever being denied our hard-earned millions.

Tight-asses
May 29th 2008 22:32
You'll hear a lot of moderately wealthy people tell you that the key to becoming rich is to carefully watch your spending. Cut out your morning coffee, they'll tell you. Buy in bulk, they'll tell you. Do more stuff at home, they'll tell you.
And what they tell you is wrong. Well, it's wrong if you want to become obscenely rich. It's right if you're looking for mediocrity
