Yes it is for real! Samsung has announced that it will be replacing BADA with the new linux-based OS Tizen. This Tizen has been developed in cooperation with Intel and Samsung says that it will phase out BADA this year already to replace it with Tizen. The first 2 Tizen based phones should be released this year.

The very famous navigator software and car devices TomTom has made an announcement that they will be supplying Samsung Bada OS of their maps and apps. The Wave 3, will be the first smartphone with TomTom's maps. TomTom claims to have signed a strategic partnership with
Samsung for its own Bada OS. Samsung will include TomTom maps of more
than 200 countries. In addition, all maps will be added by POI
information and 3D maps of cities. Traffic and speed camera's
will also be provided by TomTom to Samsung.

I just got my hands on the Samsung Captivate Glide and I'm very happy with it!
It is a bit weird that this phone is only available in the USA, I had to buy it at Amazon, then get it to Europe with a special shipping service. However all went smooth and it is now in my hand!
