Are you ready for liftoff? Space Camp Trainees put their skills to the test as they train to live and work in space and take command of their own simulated space shuttle missions.

Space Camp® is a life changing experience! Space Camp inspires trainees to pursue more Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Its home is at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center® which is also the official visitor center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

During the week, crew trainers guide trainees through the past, present and future of space exploration. Trainees see the first rocket that put an American in space, the massive Saturn V rocket that took us to the Moon, and the capsules early astronauts used during their missions.

Trainees climb the tallest mountain on Mars on our Mars Climbing Wall and experience 4 G’s of lift off force on the Space Shot™ simulator. They get an astronaut’s eye view of the earth while watching amazing films in our IMAX® Spacedome Theater and Digital 3D Movie Theater.

Generally, arrival for this program is on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m., and graduation is Friday at 9:00 a.m. Graduation usually lasts about one hour. Specialty and off-season sessions may have different arrival and graduation times. Please call 1.800.63.SPACE (77223) for seasonal and specialty scheduling. Please confirm your arrival and departure times prior to planning your travel. All times are subject to change. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your verified arrival and departure times.
