The Seahawks have submitted preliminary paperwork to host a future Super Bowl.
According to NFL sources familiar with the pursuit, the Seahawks recently have taken the initial steps to declare their interest. The NFL Super Bowl Advisory Committee vets inquiries to see which cities meet minimum standards before soliciting formal proposals.

Bad as it was to lose to the Seattle Seahawks 36-25 at home Oct. 9 -- "probably the most miserable feeling we’ve had around here in a long time,” coach Tom Coughlin said afterward -- the New York Giants had more wretchedness to come.

It took Cortez Kennedy four agonizing attempts, but he has finally made the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Kennedy, who failed to receive sufficient support in three previous appearances (2009-11) on the final ballot, will enter the Hall in Canton, OH., in August as part of the Class of 2012. He was elected Saturday.

Three more Seahawks, RB Marshawn Lynch, CB Brandon Browner and safety Kam Chancellor, have been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster. All three replace injured or ill members of the San Francisco 49ers. Lynch replaces Frank Gore (ill), Browner replaces Carlos Rogers (injured) and Chancellor replaces Dashon Goldson (injured).

Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson was added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster Thursday as an injury replacement for Green Bay's John Kuhn, who is unable to participate due to an injury in the Packers' playoff loss to the New York Giants last weekend. It is Robinson's first Pro Bowl appearance.
