Welcome to the New Reach Film Fellowship!
Cinereach has re-imagined the Reach Film Fellowship for 2012. Thanks to support from the Ford Foundation’s JustFilms initiative, the Fellowship will provide unprecedented levels of funding, time and exposure for its selected fellows.
From 2012 onward, the Reach Film Fellowship will be dedicated to providing an ideal environment for new voices in filmmaking to create vital, artful short films. Fellows will be selected through an open call process to begin this spring. They will receive a substantial development package, tailored to the specific needs of their proposed projects. They will also benefit from a continuum of mentorship, creative and professional guidance, and film industry exposure as they progress towards production. When the months-long development process concludes in late 2012, fellows will have the opportunity to pursue full production financing for 2013.
Insulating its fellows from financial and practical pressures, the Fellowship paves the way for a uniquely thorough creative process. Fellows can conceive, explore and execute their visions authentically and courageously.
Please see the Program Guidelines and FAQs for eligibility information. Feel free to email us with any questions. The 2012 Reach Film Fellowship application will be available soon, with a target deadline in spring 2012.
