PSN Out – SEN In

By George Pekar, February 6, 2012 0 News, PS3, Sony, Vita

It is official, the PlayStation Network is out. In two days (February 8th) the PSN will be renamed, and will be given a new look. No longer will PlayStation players use a PSN, they will now use the SEN (Sony Entertainment Network). At that time, all PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (but not PSP) accounts will be rebranded as SEN.

spacer Now if you are wondering, “why the name change!?” Well this is not just in fact a name change, there is a reason behind it. According to Sony, their goal is intended to establish ”a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account”, according to a statement from the company. In short, Sony is adopting a similar strategy as Microsoft. The more content that is available, the more consumers will consider purchasing it.
