The Cheek of It!  was founded in 2007 by Zoe Charles  (Lady Cheek if you catch her on stage!). The Cheek of It! run a variety of burlesque courses, hen parties and workshops in London, across the UK, Barcelona, Turin, Belgrade, Zagreb and NYC, including the famous Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden.

Our hen parties are fun, fabulous and very cheeky – we can do anything from teaching your party the glamorous moves of burlesque to a whole day with a bespoke party theme.

The Cheek of It! Courses can take you from a complete beginner to a confident performer with your own burlesque act to take to the stage, we also work with experienced performers who would like to create a new act or perfect/develop an existing one.

We believe in the theatre of burlesque and always offer the opportunity to perform as part of your hen party or course at a popular London or regional burlesque club!

Our students and graduates are performing across the Globe, including:  Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Jersey, Paris, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA (and plenty more air miles to come!).

You can see The Cheek of It! Students and graduates perform in many established venues and nights including, The London Burlesque Festival, Madam Jo Jo’s, Scala, Duckie, Finger in the Pie Cabaret, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, The Glitter Room, The Tournament of Tease, Volupte, The Lollipop Lounge, Time for Tease, Boom Boom, A Evening of Burlesque Tour, Burlesque Idol, Proud Cabaret and Soulful Variatia, Italy. What is burlesque?

Burlesque is a form of entertainment that comprises of a variety of theatre, dance, comedy, circus and strip tease and has been around for many years, from the Victorian age to 70s Las Vegas and now it is being celebrated again in clubs and pubs across the nation.

So think Can Can at the Moulin Rouge, Charleston in the 1920s, 1940s B-Movie posters, and the fabulous pin-ups of the 1950s/1960s.

A world of vintage frocks, corsets, slinky stockings and heels to die for is waiting to be discovered.
