About Me
Welcome to Cookteen! My name is Chelsey Green and I am an 18 year old college student currently living in Ithaca, NY. I am balancing school work with a healthy lifestyle.
I have always been the odd child that loved eating salad and you never had to argue with me to eat my veggies. My sweet tooth only developed after spending time with my mom on the set of the Television shows like Paula’s Home Cooking with Paula Deen and Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee. Going to the set or sitting with my mom when she edited or tested recipes was how I spent time with her and I discovered that I learned a lot over the years.
A lot has happened in the two years since I created my blog, and I could not be happier. Not only have I gotten into my dream college, but I have developed an unhealthy habit of hoarding jars, mini silverware and plates and a passion for photography. I love everything that has happened since I started this blog and look forward to whatever this blog may bring me in the future.
This past summer, I spent time interning for Chef David Burke at his newest restaurant, David Burke Kitchen in Soho NY. I learned so much about the restaurant business and really appreciate everything that goes into one meal.
