Facebook page and whatnot

In other breathtaking news of great importance, I don’t know if you’ve noticed the little box on the right side of the screen, advertising a movement of some sort. Allegedly rhubarbian in origin. Yes, that’s right. Anyone for Rhubarb now has its very own Facebook page. It’s kept pretty exclusive at the moment. Only people who click the “like-button”, either here, or on Facebook, are admitted membership. Even so, if you’re not a member already, I sincerely hope you’ll consider joining. It would give me great pleasure to welcome you to the group. Also, it might be a last chance to join, before it becomes all mainstream. Who knows, all of a sudden everyone’s a member, Anyone for Rhubarb has diversified the playing field and now sits on most of the worldwide gum-market and everybody’s like “why aren’t you chewing the lemony fresh Anyone for Rhubarb-gum,  don’t you know it’s very classy, cause it’s made out of real chewing-gum from the forests?”.  You can still become a “first mover” though and I don’t have to tell you how good that feels. Besides, and let me be totally honest here, the Rhubarb needs all the help it can get. It’s a pretty silly fruit/vegetable, of course it can’t go without a little support.

However you choose to play it, I’m glad you’ve taken the time to pop by, and I hope to see you return in the very near future. If you feel like visiting the aforementioned Facebook page, it’s right here:

The facebook page and whatnot

You’re welcome to write a little something nice on the wall while you’re there, should you be so inclined.

Cheerio!

There would have been celebration!

Well, This blog-post is rather overdue. It was originally intended to be the blog-post that finally declared “Anyone for Rhubarb?” out of beta and into whatever the phase is called where stuff is finished. Omega?! Sounds like a cool phase! Let’s go with that. The mighty omega-phase! Just added a “mighty” on a sudden spur of inspiration to give a little extra crunch, and it totally worked.

As it turns out though, this post isn’t exactly the controversial piece of news it was initially intended to be. It’s gotten old. As you might know, or figured out already,  it’s actually been a while since I opened up to the public and thereby signaled the end of beta. I just never got around to writing a post on the subject, and by now it’s so overdue you wouldn’t normally devote a post to it. For some reason I’m doing it anyway though. It just seemed wrong to let such momentous development in the short history of “Anyone for Rhubarb?” go unsung.

Still, “Anyone for Rhubarb?” is a work in progress, so things will still change on a regular basis. At least that’s the idea. So it’s only sort of finished, but isn’t that why other developers call their stuff beta, you ask. I guess so, but this is the mighty omega phase and that’s the end of that. HOORAY!

The good news is I found time to spice things up with a little drawing. The drawing depicts the crazy celebration surrounding the official opening, that most certainly would have taken place, had I gotten around to announcing it in time. I hope this will give you a little taste of the jollification and/or merriment that would have been. I tell you, everyone who is someone in either superhero’ing, horror-movies, 80′s cartoons, TV-series and the likes, would have participated. Of course several fights would have broken out. People are very passionate about their web-comics, but the fights would have been beautifully choreographed and a lot of groundbreaking CGI would have been put to use.

Anyway I’m glad you’re here and I hope you’ll join the rhubarb in its future endeavors. I call them the OMEGA-ENDEAVORS!

Anyone for Beta?!

Hi. I just wanted to let you know, that I now consider Anyone for Rhubarb out of the alpha stage(also referred to as “violently-boring-programming and development-stage). So long so good. We’re of course venturing straight on into new, wild and undiscovered territory. You’ve guessed right, it’s beta time (also referred to as kickflipping-phase-of-bodacious-superfun). From now on it’s all about the content. If everything goes as planned, this means that actual comics will start popping up all over this site. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you read correctly. There will in fact be comics featured on this here comic site, very grooooovy comics at that, and If I’m not mistaken the first one is already in place.

So yeah, we’re off and away. Thundering along like a herd of turtles.

Anyone for Blog?

Hi and welcome to the blog part of Anyone for Rhubarb. For a start, I’d like to say, that I don’t consider myself an eager blogger, so don’t expect too much when it comes to quantity. My aim is to convey any news related to Anyone for Rhubarb, bring a few everyday observations from time to time and maybe even some reviews of stuff probably with no relation to anything else on the site. I’m thinking movies, games, comics and TV-series, but to be honest I’m not sure which form or shape the blog will take at all. I guess only time will tell. Perhaps there will be nothing even resembling the aforementioned, it’s possible that everything will be a mixture of erotic haikus and advice on how to avoid getting sick when drinking from the garden hose. One thing is roughly sure however, it’s gonna be a crazy exciting ride! Especially if you consider reading medium sized blocks of so and so worded text about nothing much an exciting ride! I know I do!
