Visit the App Store on your iPhone/iPad or the Android Market and search for GHIN. A GHIN app will be available for FREE download. Once installed, login in with your ACTIVE MAGA GHIN number and the myMAGA app screen will appear (see image to left).

2012 USGA ANNUAL MEETING

O'Toole Elected to 2nd Term as Vice-President; Grossman Awarded Joe Dey Award

It was a fabulous weekend for St. Louis golf this past weekend in Houston,TX.

The 2012 USGA Annual Meeting took place on Saturday, February 4 where Tom O'Toole, Jr. was elected to his second term as a Vice-President on the USGA Executive Committee and Stan Grossman was officially awarded the Joe Dey Award!

Also present was Jim Holtgrieve, 2011 and 2013 Walker Cup Captain who was recognized at the Bob Jones Award Dinner for his USGA accomplishments. The highlight of the evening may have went to Annika Sorenstam who received the USGA highest honor, the Bob Jones Award.

2012 SPRING KICKOFF CELEBRATION

Wednesday, March 7 at Norwood Hills CC

Registration is open and for the NEW 2011 Awards Night/2012 Spring Kickoff Celebration! Wednesday, March 7th at Norwood Hills Country Club, MAGA will celebrate the 2011 season and preview the 2012 season. The evening will consist of an hour of drinks and hors d'oeuvres and then go into the program to recognize our 2011 award winners, host clubs and our Meritorious Service Award winner Carol Fromuth!

The 2011 Players of the Year are: Men's - Skip Berkmeyer; Senior Men's - Jeff Johnson; Women's - Ellen Port; Senior Women's - Tina Jones.

The cost of the evening will be $37.50 per person. The cost includes an hour long buffet beginning at 6:00pm with beer, wine and soda included. After 7:00pm a cash bar will be available.

The 2012 MAGA Championships, USGA Qualifying Round and Amateur Series schedules are very near completion. Visit the COMPETITIONS page above for the dates that are confirmed, and visit back often for updates as we complete the 2012 schedules.

Entries for MAGA Championships and Amateur Series will be available on 3/15/2012. USGA Championship entries will begin the first week of March and will be linked to those Championships via the site as they are available from the USGA.

2012 PJ BOATWRIGHT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WITH MAGA

MAGA Will Offer Two Internships Through USGA Grant

MAGA will again offer internships available through the PJ Boatwright Internship Grant program with the USGA in 2012. Two internships will be available, a 5-month and a 3-month opportunity.

In 1991, the USGA established the P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internship Program. This program is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf associations, as well as other non-profit organizations dedicated to the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term, entry level basis.
