Produced by Willamette Week, MFNW teams up with music professionals from the local, regional, and national music scene to curate this multi-venue festival featuring bands from indie, hip hop, punk and more musical backgrounds.

What’s a Screamer?

MusicfestNW officially starts tonight at 6pm with the Motley ‘Cue presented by Whole Foods Market (have you gotten your VIP wristband yet? It’s the only way in!), but until then you’ll just have to enjoy one last video from the most famous women of MusicfestNW. Have you herd of a screamer?

Will Call Wristbands

Many of you have been asking about where the festival Will Call table is going to be. You’ll find all of the information below. Also, if you are interested in purchasing a wristband during the festival please see below! Internet sales for wristbands stop Thursday, Sept. 8th at 3:00pm. Then the only place to purchase a wristband will be at the will call table, Willamette Week or any other TicketsWest outlet.

WILL CALL -

Wristband Will Call – If you chose to pick up your MusicfestNW wristband via Will Call during the festival then you can get it at the following times and places:

9/7 and 9/8 – Crystal Ballroom – 4pm-10pm
9/9 – Pioneer Courthouse Square – 3pm-9:30pm
9/10 and 9/11 – Pioneer Courthouse Square – 2pm-9:30pm

You must pick your wristband up here before attending any MusicfestNW shows.

Purchasing wristbands during MusicfestNW: To purchase a wristband during MusicfestNW  head to the Will Call table (see times/places above, credit cards only accepted). You may also purchase them at any TicketsWest retail location. Starting on. Willamette Week will continue to sell wristbands between 9am and 5pm through Friday, September 9th.

Individual Ticket Will Call – If you selected to receive your INDIVIDUAL TICKET via Will Call then you will pick it up at that respective venue on the night of the show (for example you purchased a ticket to see Blind Pilot. Pick that ticket up on Saturday, 9/10 at the Crystal Ballroom).

If you ordered a wristband and have a ticket that says:
“MusicfestNW 2011 Wristband redeem in advance at either WW office – 2220 NW Quimby ST… OR DURING MFNW AT A MFNW VENUE”  then please take this ticket to any MusicfestNW venue and exchange it for a wristband.

Dr. Martens presents Three 4 Free

spacer Dr. Martens and MusicfestNW are teaming up this year for the Three 4 Free series at the Dr. Martens store (10 NW 10th Ave.) in downtown Portland. Swing by each day (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) for an intimate performance by some of MusicfestNW’s favorite artists.

Thursday, 9/8 -
4:00 p.m. – DJ Hannuka Miracle
5:00 p.m. – Typhoon

Friday, 9/9 -
4:00 p.m. – DJ Safi
5:00 p.m. – Ted Leo

Saturday, 9/10 -
4:00 p.m. – DJ Rev Shines
5:00 p.m. – Dam Funk

These shows are FREE and open to the public so they are sure to fill up quickly. Get there early for your chance to catch some of the best music MFNW has to offer in such a unique setting!

KEXP at Doug Fir

spacer KEXP and MusicfestNW are once again partnering for a series of all ages daytime shows at the Doug Fir during MusicfestNW. These shows are brought to you by EMP. See the full lineup below. As always, there will be a couple of surprises! Thanks to everyone involved for helping to make this happen.

KEXP will be broadcasting LIVE from the Doug Fir during MFNW. These LIVE in-studio sessions are free, all ages, and open to the public. We’d love to have you come on down. No sign up necessary. Space is limited, so first come, first served.
