What is BarCamp?

A BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. Learn more.

If you want to come and join in on the fun, add your name to the list.

T-shirts

T-shirts are coming together... I will have them made post event and distribute later. Please bring a business card or some identifier/address along with your t-shirt size, so we can get that handled.

If you didn't get me a business card on Saturday, please send me an email w/ shirt size and a physical address (kevinc at newsgator.com) if you'd like a shirt!

What to expect at a BarCamp

When/Where is BarCampBoulder?

The first event was 2006-11-10.
Rumors of another one in the spring could be heard
as the first meeting was wrapping up. Inquiring minds want to know how they might find out about the next one in time to make plans, without laborious reloading of this page over the coming months. There doesn't seem to be a way to get email notification of updates on this page, but only this page.

First BarCampBoulder

Location is no longer TBD! The awesome folks at Me.dium are going to let us use their space! Yes. Thanks David, Robert, Kimball, Herb and all the great folks at Medium for being so gracious. Oh, and if you check out their cool product feel free to add me as a friend (my medium account name is kevin). You can read more about Medium here and here.

Thanks to David Cohen and Brad Feld for the mentions and thanks to Matt Branaugh and the Daily Camera for the coverage in the Business-Events section.

Participating in BarCampBoulder!

There are many ways to participate in a BarCamp!

As a company, you can sponsor a meal or provide logistical support by providing campers with products or services. Please contact Kevin Cawley (kevinc at newsgator.com) regarding corporate sponsorship.

As an individual, you can simply show up and contribute to the discussions, or you can go that extra mile and help by volunteering to set up, clean up, or coordinate events. Please sign up on the BarCampBoulderVolunteers page if you would like to help out.

Anyone planning to participate in BarCampBoulder in any capacity should sign up on the BarCampBoulderAttendees page.

Thanks to Brian Baker for offering up some of his mad design skills for the logo and shirt design.
