Usually, a man will be texting a girl for one of three purposes:
- He is trying to make an initial contact after meeting her out somewhere.
- He just wants to keep himself in the girl’s mind until the next time he sees her.
- He is using texting to escalate his relationship with the girl to a more playful or sexual level.

In a minute, I’m going to talk about how to text girls the right way… but first, I want to talk about some of the big mistakes you might be making when texting a girl.
Once you overcome these errors, it will be a lot easier for you to reach your objective texting girls.
Text Blunder #1: Texting a boring message serves no point. These sort of texts include; “How you doing?” or “What”s going on?” Texts like these DO NOT distinguish you from the hundreds of other guys that are also texting the woman you’re talking to.
Text Blunder #2: The second big blunder is texting a girl too much and too often. Text messages should be used in limited doses in order to create mystery, suspense, and intrigue. If you are texting girls all the time, they will stop looking forward to your texts.
Text Blunder#3: The final blunder guys make is they try to have a conversation over texts. Texting shouldn’t be used as a way to get to know a girl.
Some other big blunders texting girls:
- Always texting a girl back too quickly and appearing needy
- Trying too hard to get her to like you
- Letting the girl control the flow of texting (ie. Is she always the one to end it??)
- Not getting playful,”flirtatious,” or sexual in your text messages

Every message you send should have some type of playfulness and flirtation. You should always aim to demonstrate a fun side of your personality every time you are texting a girl.
During the first few text messages you are just trying to show her that you can be fun and social around girls. Your texts should always present the impression that you live a fun and adventurous life.
Stay light and playful, then jump into serious topics, and then back to being playful and flirtatious.
The technique is to banter with the girl back and forth and leave the interaction on a high note, by either stop texting the girl back, or by finishing it with a text like “talk later…”
It is also important to display small chunks of your personality in these messages, and avoid being boring like the plague.
This means you never make statements like “I’m bored,” or if she ask what you’re up to texting “Nothing special.”

Hey Chris, I think if you read through this page you’ll find plenty of examples of what to text a girl you like. The important thing is to be fun, playful, and to the point. There is no reason to dance around the topic of hanging out and spend weeks just texting back and forth.
Most of this is right. But as a girl that gets a lot of texts a day I must tell you that one things that turn me off in texts is not responding immediately (because if we text you then we’ll be waiting, I lose interest in a guy while waiting for a text from him, then an hour later when I get it I’m to busy to answer it)

Hey guys.. Just wanted to put my two cents in. There’s definitely some good stuff here for guys to learn about texting women and texting is basically the only to communicate with chicks after meeting them. The days of getting a girl on the phone are all but gone. Once and a while you’ll get a girl on the phone to flirt and get her to meet up but the odd’s are against you. So your text game has got to be ultra tight!
And it’s nice to see that so many men are interested in learning the art of texting. It can be tricky to say the least. Some women especially the hotter ones have awesome text game and can weed out the needy and inexperienced men in just a few texts… and then she’s gone and you ain’t getting her back. Think about this for a minute. How many guys do you think really hot chicks are texting with at the same time? How many men have these women texted over the last few years? HUNDRED’S! Now, ask yourself this, how many women not even just the hot ones have you texted with over the same amount of time? Dozens?(if your lucky and semi-good with women!) Who’s got the home field advantage? You or her? Are you texting her differently than every single other guy she gives out her number to? How needy to hang out with her are you being? Is she getting turned on just by texting you? Are you able to handle all of her tests? Do you even know what her tests are? If not, you better learn and ASAP if you are to succeed with women via text!
