When KidsWealth began, we set about creating the most comprehensive, effective and enjoyable money education tools for children of all ages. Designed by leading figures in education, literacy and finance, the products we release are infused with our passion for financial education.

KidsWealth continues to grow through its award-winning flagship Kids Money Program each year. The programs teach kids to save money and encourage parents to start teaching kids about money management at an early age. Our team constantly works with trusted partners to help bring the courses to more households, with an aim to touch millions of lives over the next decade.

By 2020, KidsWealth aims to help over 20 million families impart the core money skills that are necessary to prosper in today’s demanding world.

Proven Leadership

Each member of the KidsWealth team is dedicated to providing the absolute highest quality children’s savings program on the market today. The integrity, leadership and experience of the management team have helped to craft a unique product that has been utilized by families world-wide.

The varied backgrounds of the leadership team include experience in professional education, business development, as well as arts and culture. As parents themselves, the KidsWealth leadership team has seen the success of the program within their own households, and are passionate about helping your family succeed in teaching valuable financial management skills.

Michael DaSilva, Co-Founder & CEO

Working with his wife Elizabeth, Michael DaSilva turned his vision for a better children’s financial education product into reality in August 2002. With a dedication to developing the leading program on the market, they extensively tested and refined the product in collaboration with leading educators. By August 2006, the company confidently released the KidsWealth series including the Money Kit and Tracker Books to rave reviews.

After earning a Bachelors of Science degree at Memorial University, he pursued a career in management leadership. His experience as CEO of F.M.C International Ltd. earned him recognition as one of the nation’s top Entrepreneurs by Ernst and Young by helping to grow F.M.C. into one of North America’s largest global drilling firms. Michael’s steady leadership and vision has helped KidsWealth expand into to a leader in its field.

His extensive international business training helped to inform the motivation behind the success of KidsWealth, and his commitment to philanthropy, family and community is reflected in the product’s core principles. In his travels throughout Europe, Asia and South America, Michael has earned a reputation as a respected leader and a visionary in the field of financial education.

Elizabeth DaSilva, Co-Founder & Education Consultant

As the co-founder of the renowned KidsWealth program, Elizabeth has been instrumental in shaping the principles for effective children’s financial education. Her experience as a mother, educator and advocate for financial literacy has earned her acclaim from leading educators.

Developing an effective program to help families to integrate an innovative approach financial planning beyond simply money and chores is a priority for Elizabeth, who aims to teach children to save money through educational principles.

Elizabeth has worked as a professional educator, and served as director of the Alberta Special Education Council where she advocated for causes related to child development. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at the University of Alberta, Elizabeth successfully pursued at graduate degree from Newman Theological College with a focus on religious education. Her wealth of experience and knowledge helps shape the future direction of the KidsWealth program.

Susan Rabel, VP of Operations

An experienced management professional, Susan provides leadership for KidsWealth’s product development. After joining the company in 2005, she brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the company stemming from her work as General Manager of HQ Global Workplaces.

With a skill set that includes operations, technology management, human resources and product development, Susan is a proven leader helping to take KidsWealth to the next level. Working with a number of leading Fortune 500 companies, Susan has earned a reputation for her commitment to quality, which has helped to elevate KidsWealth to a leading position in its market.

Susan earned a degree in Criminology with a minor in Ballet Performance from the University of South Florida and continues to reside in the Tampa area with family, including two children who are active participants in KidsWealth. Her passion for culture and personal development stems from her dedication to the arts, children’s education and family development.
